I know you nerds just saw that SKT vs WE game and saw a lucian mid pop off but just because he popped off, doesnt mean you will, you will probably do terrible actually absolutely horrid. Dont play lucian mid you stinkies

Usually, if it works in pro play, it probably can be played in regular games as well. Will it find the same success? Obviously not every game

The problem with lucian mid - as they alluded to - is that you then lack any meaningful burst for mid-late game while the enemy mid gets to the point they can probably delete you through any "defensive" items you build such as maw. Thus you end up getting destroyed - especially if you don't win laning phase - the power level the enemy mage or assassin mid has over you only grows larger with time and items. This is even worse still if you have squishies in every role (top, jg, sup, bot). The only reason WE pulled it off is due to their large early lead and staying adequately spread out in teamfights while still focusing down targets as a team very well. Give it 5 items and the enemy mid just deletes a carry with shockwave combo and you are 4v5 without a 3rd of your team's damage while the enemy team is all still full hp.

I've played Lucian mid before. I've played Lucian bot to. I didn't like Lucian bot as much tho. I like him in mid because his dash (pretty sure it's his e) makes it easier for him to move around mid lane since it's shorter. Also, the rest of his abilities are just easier and more fun in mid since it's harder for the enemy to escape. Although, Lucian mid isn't as consistent in terms of wins as Lucian bot!
