Highlight of me being uber fed but failing to carry a game as cait. Id like to get some advice on what i should have done during that team fight vs what i did. Cause im feeling like i am the reason we lost that game.

  • It was a 4v5
  • Talon had 25% health at the start of the fight
  • Your team comp was absolute garbage

You had no chance.

A full AD team like that is difficult to win with, especially if some of your teammates are not playing optimally. Even so, you could have done better:

Commit to the fight when the enemy team is focusing Morg + Riven, you stayed a bit far back and only auto attacked Naut.

Your positioning was safe, but by late game you had to have commit to do damage. You could've went on Vi who seemed to be less tanky (with only a Deadman's plate + Thornmails for armor), or even riskier but higher reward, completely commit and just straight up go on Ahri. Even Lucian got pretty close to the center. An alternative was to decide where to position according to your Riven waiting to flank! This could've been a game changer! She had flash, so she was completely ready to assassinate at least 1 if not both their carries. It looks like Riven commit fully at 0:13, that's when Lucian sees that "Oh ****, I'm ulting too close to the center. and the enemy peel back shortly after. Had you maybe acted as a distraction/ultimatum, and walked up ignoring their front line, the tanks would've focused you while Riven takes care of a carry in the back. Leaving your Jax and Talon to do what they choose. You had flash too, so had they not instant cc'd you, perhaps you could get some damage in.

Pay attention to when the enemy frontline blows their cc when they turn on the flanking Riven at 0:15 of the video. They both turned, so you should have at least attempted to add in damage instead of staying back because this was the game deciding fight.

Being ultra fed and so close to base, you should have bought the AD elixir beforehand.

With all this said, it was still very unlikely for you to win with the given conditions. You could've dodged beforehand comparing the team comps even. Solo Q has unwinnable games! Don't be salty about this particular one.

Since we're talking about you and not the rest of the team, I'd say that you're positioning during the fight (short as it was) was fine. Maybe you could have gotten one or two more attacks in, but that wouldn't have had any real effect on the outcome.

There are two mistakes I would point out as you were kiting away. The first is trying to set up a trap line on the way out. At this point, it's neither safe to set one up, nor is it possible to do anything of impact with it. The other mistake I would point out is wasting a flash. Realistically, there was no way a flash was going to save you.
