You do realize virtually everyone in the game got placed 5-6 tiers below their previous ranking this season, right?

That explains the first ~80% of the trend. The extra jump from gold to plat 5 might just be a sudden realization of mechanical strategy, like the ability to freeze a lane for 2-3 waves longer, roaming more efficiently, farming more efficiently, harassing more favorably, or a host of all sorts of things.

Unless he was bronze/silver last season. That'd be the lynchpin.

You do realize the link shows him skyrocketing from Silver IV straight up to Plat, right? Maybe look at the link instead of just puking on the keyboard. If you'd looked at the link you'd see the blatant trolling in his builds and know that something isn't right... but by all means, operate in ignorance.

No, it shows him jumping up to around Gold 2 then a small jump to plat 5 several days later. The differential between gold 2 and plat 5 is several several games as there are 70 games on that account already. There are only 2 troll builds I see, and that's obviously someone who sells all of their items while the enemy is banging on their nexus to buy tears. It's also only a sample of 9 ranked matches. Not very conclusive.

But again, so what? There are several plats who were placed ridiculously low at the start of the season. EVERYONE was placed ridiculously low. You're claiming that he was boosted using the very behavior that is expected due to the reset this season as evidence to the abnormal.

Unless you have evidence that the dude finished in silver last season and didn't break into Gold 2-1 during the preseason, you're saying that he stole the bike because he says he didn't steal the bike.
