If you haven't already, you should consider trying Iceborn on Taric. Once he has it, Taric is capable of 1v1'ing many champions (provided he doesn't get kited).

item 3009 item 3401 item 2049 item 3025 item 3190 item 3143 is a pretty strong and generalist build. It's great for dueling, peeling and general utility.
