Does Katarina Counter Ahri?

I had a think about this, and I can't imagine Ahri countering Katarina. Ahri has great utility, like her charm, but I don't see it countering Kat? I mean Kat does all her damage by sticking to her enemy. Wouldn't ahri want Kat as far away from her as possible?

Also, 1 more Question. Does Diana Counter Katarina? I've heard it does and I'm just making sure. I feel like & are a great match-up because of their similar kits. However I feel like Diana's W would not only damage kat but shield her from her damage.

According to champion.gg, Katarina has a 46.7% win rate against Ahri.

Ahri beats kat in lane, Diana beats kat in lane. Diana dmg is higher, her shield soaks some of Kat's dmg. Her E pull interrupts Kat's ult. Ahri can Q kat each time she comes up to Q ahri through minions. If she shunpo's you can charm her and combo her. Also Charm interrupt her ult, or ult escape from its damage. Kat actually doesn't fair well in lane, its amazing how she gets fed on such a consistent basis. Any form of easily applied CC completely destroys her. However she is so feast or famine that if she is ahead? That game is almost a gg guarantee because she literally insta kills any squishies before they can even react.

Interesting. One more question, would you recommend Diana being played in mid lane, or jungle?

Diana jung can scrub stomp lower elo's but in general you need someone with catch. Diana can't do much pre 6 except invade the enemy jungler. Other champs perform better as AP jung carries. I say Diana performs better mid.

I feel as if she'd be harassed a lot by ranged mid laners though. how can you prevent this?

Diana wins by having base stats to shrug off most of her poke, her shield and E pretty much take care of everything else. Ahri simply has way too much mobility for Kat to properly deal with, although there is a big skill element to the match up. Depending on how well Kat can use Shunpo to juke Charm, Kat can win.

so your accuratly saying that if ahri charms before kat ults then she dies? cause in any lane matchup with kat you simply harras from range with aa and spells and save the cc until the ult. ahri vs kat isnt a skill matchup unless ahri is braindead and wastes charm.

Ahri vs Kat is very much a skill matchup. Either can win it, but Ahri can choose to just make it a really boring low-interaction lane if she wants, since she is much better at pushing and running away with her Q.

Diana is a very hard matchup for Kat. Kat can win it, but she'll probably need a lot of jungler assistance or to do a lot of roaming to get fed elsewhere.

I'd have to disagree that Ahri v Kat is a skill match up. A skilled Ahri vs an equally skilled Kat the Ahri will beat Kat 100%. Kat can't get close to Ahri without getting charmed and Ahri has 3 dash she can uses.
