New Patch, Old Client Problems
so i'm sure, Riot, you have heard this complaint before. I've seen several threads with people complaining about it. You even kinda fixed it for the last two patches.
But for basically a year now, for some players, the client doesn't open. It can take 15 minutes to even login, because the client opens, crashes, opens, patches, takes 5 minutes to reopen, patches again...and eventually you get in.
New patch today. The app (and i believe this is specificially a MAC problem; a week or two ago there were PC users raging about this big time, but they seemed to fix it quickly),....but the app literally won't even try to open now. It appears to start on taskbar, and then closes before you can even see the icon. No more (not responding)...force quit/reopen a few times to do the trick. The process never even starts.
Why do you ignore this problem for months on end? It's at the very core of user-experience of a reasonably functioning client, and it just gets ignored for month after month; not even a single comment that you're looking into it so I guess you said fuck you to the small minority of players that experience this. But I know there are a decent amount, one of these threads got something like 50 upvotes and a bunch of comments.
No I will not use your game repair tool, I have reinstalled multiple times and it does little to fix the problem. This issue occurs with literally NONE of my other apps so it is definitely a league/compatibility issue and not specific to my machine.
ARe you trying to get people to quit, because this is working for me. I was gonna play some games and chill tonight, but after spending 10 minutes trying to work this im done. BECAUSE i've spent 10 minutes on many other occasions trying to get the game to open for naught, and am consistently ignored.
I will be uninstalling shortly, only a handful of my friends even play this game any more; i used to play with 20+ different players frequently. Now i only see about the same 4 friends online; 3 of which i know IRL so we use this solely to stay in touch. We can find a new game easily.
I'm just gonna say it, you guys have shit for customer care. The free loot is great, but i'd trade it all to solve basic client bugs/issues.
