Just an idea to reduce toxic behavior

When you cuss somebody out in a game what do you get? a report and maybe a chat restriction. So what if there is something players want before a game starts that will work in his/her favor is he/she is honored?

For example: if you get honored by 5/9 people in the game you get Honor Points. Honor Points can then be redeemed for something like a 3 game (x1.5) IP boost or 100 RP or something like that. Maybe we could also have regional honor leaderboards, so a player can see their NA rank for having gained 13000 Honor points and he is a diamond in honor.

What im saying here is that there isnt much reward to being nice. There is a slight punishment for the toxic but the good just float around and get a crest every once in a while. Is This a good idea?

Ridiculous concept. That involves Riot giving us meaningful rewards, and not just a pretty ribbon or something. :P

Well I do agree with his idea. The problem actually is if you're toxic you ahve like 5% chance of being punish? There's nothing too to gain if you're acting with a sportsmanlike conduct... Gaining something would help people playing with good behavior I'm certain of that (just the end-season mstery skin is already a huge price).

So I think they could actually have a system similar to what we have in Quebec for our driver's license : you start the season at like 300 points. Everytime you get reported you loose -1 points up to a maximum of 3 points per games. Once you're under 100 points = no mystery skins at the end of the season, but you gain like 20 points passively every 50 games or so (coop vs al's counts)

Just a draft of what could be a system like that because we all know only muting someone and report him at the end of the game knowing nothing will happen to him isn't nough

Well if less toxicity is what you want, just ban Singed from your games

Lyte already stated months ago that the new Tribunal is intended to have positive case reviews in addition to the negative ones. Players deemed positive influences on the community will get rewarded.

Edit: found sources.

We’re going to temporarily put the Tribunal in maintenance mode while we upgrade the overall system to ensure players who deserve punishments receive them much faster than they currently do. We’ll also be adding the ability to review and reward players who exemplify the best sportsmanship in League of Legends.

In addition to working on the punishment systems, we've been working on some really neat positive reinforcement features in the new Tribunal, where players can now also review positive behaviors and hand out cool rewards. These features will give Honor renewed purpose, as being Honored will make you eligible to enter the Tribunal for a "positive" review to hopefully net some cool stuff!

What do intentional feeders and afkers get?

Preferably they'd tackle the root of the problem before rewarding whomever they choose to.

No, it is not a good idea because that doesn't increase decent behavior, that increases everyone spamming honour at the end of every game, making honour mean even less than than you think it does now.
