Jinx is a little bit overwhelming right now
And has always been. Any future plans for her?

She should be buffed in upcoming marksman update.

If the marksman update is anything like the juggernaut one I will prolly quit league.
Ye people were saying that on Assasin meta, tank meta, juggernaut meta, now Marksman meta... Noone ever quits league.
When the support meta takes over and you see
get multiple pentakills, I think only then will people be quitting league.

Once Janna and Soraka start getting pentakills, then we will all quit league :D

They don't get pentakills... They steal them D:
I got a triple kill as support Janna back when I built full AP on her. xP
What about pentaheals?
when riot will get to the supports update, janna and soraka will probably be able to penta-kill the enemy team, bring them back to life, and penta-kill them again
(jk, for those who can't take the clue)
i have gotten a soraka penta b4 :D
Just cuz one pentakill isn't enough...
i do miss playing as akali, but with darius out there penta-dunking everyone, i'll just wait till next meta
Is he not banned in 90% of your games?
i'm bad, i dont play ranked
Play draft then! :D

Then quit. You understand we have to see the changes on the ADC before doing any chance on the adc champions right ?It's only logical.
no one listened when i said jinx would be a stupidly overloaded champion"lol jinx wont be a hyper carry" "She will go OOM just for AAing, worthless champ" "she has no escape or self peel" "cait will still have better range because rockets cost mana". this community is really really slow i swear.
my friend mains Jinx and still says stuff like this...
when people keep mentioning ADCs when the ADC update is coming...
Well she has bad mobility
Kogmaw has bad mobility. Anivia has bad mobility. Zyra has bad mobility. Jinx has no immediate escape, but some of the best mobility if youre cleaning up a teamfight.
And unlike Kog'maw, has effective hard cc. Her traps and range make her way safer than most of the marksmen with dashes.
if youre cleaning up a teamfight.
Pretty big if.
Not at all. That's what carries do.
Yeah and in the majority of other cases where she isn't cleaning up a fight she has jackshit for mobility.
Many champions can very easily get to her and kill her and she can't stop it.
In general, sure. In comparison to other ADCs, id say that most other ADCs not named Varus, Ashe, or Urgot (aka, other ADCs with 0 mobility, but to be fair, at least Urgot and Varus have a bit more base movespeed) have just as hard of a time to stop it. What is Ezreal, Corki, Lucian, Graves, Kalista, Twitch, etc going to do against an Akali or Zed 1v1?
You clearly weren't there for release jinx. THAT was overwhelming.
Current jinx isn't that strong in comparison.
Jinx is fine the way she is.
175% bonus MS 700 range aoe crit nukes 1500 range 140% ad projectile 1.5s aoe root aoe nuke for 35% missing hp dmg
Totally fine.
Cause cherry picking strong parts of a kit is totally all the balance team takes into account. Lol. Don't get me wrong, jinx is strong, but putting things that way isn't the way to go about calling for nerfs...
Cherry picking? That's her whole kit and I didn't compare her to any other champion. She is just too strong in general.
Okay, I'll counter then. Bonus MS is only on kill and is essentially negated to any even soft cc Rockets are her only reliable form of poke. They're strong but not super overwhelming. If you're not dodging Zap! Then you have bigger problems, considering the hilarious amount of telegraphed it is. Also it is not huge damage early as she shouldn't be maxing it. If she is just all in right after she casts it as it means her rockets won't do shit. Oh, her root? The thing you have to walk into and has a 1.5 second arm time? As well as a 20+ second CD? Are you that impatient that you can't just bait it out and fight when she doesn't have it? Or just walk around it and still catch her cause her base MS is abysmal? It's in the jungle and you can't get past it? Why are you fighting there? Her ranged execute ultimate that does practically nothing at point blank? If she hits that cross map cause you were low and recalling that's just either your mistake or very good on her. Counterplay is a thing. Cause other players aren't just red or blue minions that just run at her.

...she still needs a kill to get it and is still stopped by even soft cc. Also really unsure how bonus MS kills people, pretty sure it doesn't actually deal damage unless I'm missing something. It helps but it doesn't do the job on it's own. Rockets are super overwhelming...if your team is grouped and focusing their tank or you grouped up for their AoE CC for some reason. Otherwise they're a slow AA that's beaten by any other equally fed adc in the game. Except that Azir's soldiers, while visible, aren't telegraphed nearly as much as Jinx's ability...I see what you're saying but abilities that are that telegraphed just aren't hard to dodge. Cool, she puts it on herself so they're rooted while killing her. Any semi-intelligent player that is trying to kill jinx will hold their CC until she burns those. If she survived while right next to a team fight until everyone was that low then your team kinda deserves to lose that team fight. Stop trying to oversell her abilities as OP. You can do the same with literally any champ in the game by highlighting their strengths and ignoring their weaknesses.

Compared to season 3/4 jinx yea this is totally fine. The meta shifted to her favor unlike the other adc's.
Yeah, the most popular ADC in the game is rocking the second highest winrate for ADCs below only Mordekaiser. There's something inherently wrong when the most popular champion in a role also has one of the top winrates in that role.
Being a Jinx main I obviously don't want my champion nerfed, but there are way crazier ADC's. My second favorite ADC is Kogmaw, all you have to do late game is press w auto attack and kite between autos. She isn't that ridiculous and neither is Kogmaw, or even Vayne. They're all squishie high damage dealing champions. If you want to deal with them just pick an assassin or hard engage champ.
Unfortunately I don't always have the luxury of picking an assassin, or getting fed with them or the luxury to get to the backline and attack without consequences.
Kog'Maw has very clear weaknesses however. His W has a time limit and a cooldown, and has only one CC being a relatively high cooldown slow than you can just walk out of, leaving him with no self peel.
Jinx's rockets are togglable with a very small cooldown between toggles and can be up pretty much constantly late-game. She a long-range slow that not only has a low cooldown, but also scales 170% 140% with AD, so it kicks your ass as well. She has an AOE 1.5 second snare trap that can close off entire jungle paths and in general makes it very hard to get on her without a blink of any sort, combined with the speed boosts she gets for kills/assists she can be damn near impossible to catch. On top of all that she has a** global AOE execute** that also has the lowest base cooldown at 16 of all the global ultimates in the game.
If you want to deal with them just pick an assassin or hard engage champ.
This is a moot point as it applies to literally any squishy high damage target. Though with Jinx you need to also run a champion with a blink or is Malphite to get past the chompers or only fight her every five minutes when you can flash onto her, not to mention you risk getting blown up yourself if you dive the backline as an assassin. You're limited to Zed, pretty much. Great.
Edit: fixed a number error

Suddenly its 170% instead of 140%. sigh
That was a typing mistake, I apologize. Point is still valid mind you.
There are plenty of options to deal with Jinx. ANY assassin shits on her, the only one that she has a slight chance against is Akali and that's if she's not fed. In terms of non assassins, teemo, maokai, malphite, Olaf, tryndamere, or basically any top laner. Saying that she's safe behind her chompers is hilarious. I've probably played more Jinx than anyone here and can say that they don't do shit without you having to bust flash or have plenty of other people peel for you.
How to counter Jinx get all your team to ALL pick assassins get them all to tunnel vision a jinx thats a mile away and ignore the enemy team while they murder you. thats pretty much how this guys want you to beat her...
I think they said they will try to find something to tone down on Jinx with the marksman stuff. Mainly it will be changes to Quinn Cait MF Big changes for Luc and Graves to separate their kits and then Items will be messed with
They'll likely address her early (lack of) mana gating and not-that-slow rocket fire rate if she is not brought into line by the marksman update.
Until then, I wouldn't expect much.
She's fine other than the aoe on demand from her Q. Every other ADC has to use skills for aoe damage, so they're using mana and a cooldown. Jinx only has to use mana, so she's not time-gated on her aoe damage the way every other ADC is. It would be like making Sivir's W a toggle; in other words, it's a shit idea.
Just because it's different means it's shit? Variety in what's available to each champion is what makes the game enjoyable.
Uh, no. It's not a bad idea because it's different, it's bad because it's a major cs/lane control advantage early on and a team fight advantage later on.
Think about it like this. Fighters pay tons of gold for Tiamat items to get some aoe waveclear. Some ADCs buy Stattik for some waveclear, and other ADCs have to buy Runaan's to get some aoe on their AAs.
Put another way, how fair is it that one adc can burn down an entire wave with just AA at the same speed it takes another adc to kill one melee minion? I'd say not that fair.
There's also the cs advantage of not really having to last-hit that well. Jinx gets a lot of incidental farm that she might otherwise miss, and she gets a lot more farm than other adcs as the game progresses.
Two things: one, it's totally fair. Olaf can toss a Q at you to slow you, then pick it up and throw it again immediately with basically no cooldown, permaslowing you. Ahri gets a huge burst of true damage when her Q returns, while Sivir does not. Lots of champions can do these things that other champions cannot, and a lot of them seem OP on paper. This is not unfair. Every champion is balanced around the mechanics given to them, so they all end up with similar power. Jinx is the AD carry of the late-game teamfight and siege comps, no doubt about that. But she's not very useful in a poke comp, and her early game is very punishable by jungle pressure because she lacks escapes. On top of that, she dies very easily to assassins in teamfights as on her own she has no way whatsoever to deal with them. These are the prices she pays for her rockets.
two, rockets can make you miss cs in lane just the same as they can pick it up for you. As far as lane control goes, Tristana E does basically the same thing. Both Tristana and Jinx are given these tools as a sort of double-edged sword, that keeps them from being pushed under tower constantly since they're more late-game focused than the competition; while simultaneously serving as an equalizer should they secure an advantage and begin winning lane. They passively push the lane by CSing, which makes them more vulnerable to ganks should their opponents not push back. As for why Jinx gets to turn hers off when Trist can't? Jinx is way more vulnerable to ganks in the first place, so the toggle option allows smart Jinxes to control the wave more easily.
