How to prevent mid-match flaming and win more games!

I apologize if this isn't in the correct board, I'm just not 100% sure which board this goes in.

So, this game starts off really poorly. Kindred dies to Eve in a 1v1 in Eve's jungle and fails a few ganks - we're pretty far behind. Before you know it, we're over 6k (and many, many kills) down. Surprise, everyone's mad at each other, and the rest of my team is flaming. Seems like a standard solo queue game, right?

This is where I decide to take control of the situation - there's no clear winner of this argument - agreeing with someone will just make the situation way worse. So I do what I do best and interrupt all the arguing with one phrase. Someone explain to me. How does flaming win us this game? The game proceeds to go silent and everyone gets back on track. We start to pick good fights and pull back our deficit, eventually winning a teamfight, going 5-0 for the win.

Yes, Lux being fed did really help out. But my point here is that if I didn't intervene here, the game would have been over in the other direction. I would have lost a game due to bickering again. If you ever feel powerless in a match, try saying those words! Because many of us play to win (especially in ranked). There simply is no answer to flaming helping us win. Making players feel worse just helps us lose.

I also want to make it clear that I'm not demonizing the rest of the team. Everyone has their bad moments (I've had 10+ game losing streaks multiple times before and proceeded to just fall over, uncaring about anything else). But it was our collective ability to pull together. So good job, my team!

You sir, are lucky. I try to tell everyone to chill and just focus, they ignore me and continue to flame each other.
