I just played placements in preseason. My start mmr is gold 4 then i lost 7 placement games and won only 3. This put me in Sliver 4 then i dropped to Sliver 5. If i do good in S8, will i get a higher rank? cuz its preseason only

Since you've done placements the MMR for the next season starting point is kind of set. When you do them again in the new season, you'll have the possibility of being placed in Bronze.
