How come it feels like there is no point in the laning phase?

For the past week, I've CONSTANTLY been in games where if I have a lower than 50% kill participation, those are the games I win, and the games where I ACTUALLY win lane I lose.

Has anyone recently noticed this?

I haven't. It's possible that you just happen to be on a cold streak and that doesn't mean that laning phase for everyone else is also pointless.

I'm not sure I agree with the laning phase not being important. Checking your op.gg, you seem like a good player. And in one of your other Yorick matches, you won lane /and some/, ending with a 21/11/4 score.

Usually if you win lane more of your teams mmr was invested in you and less was invested in the opposing laner. So this means the rest of the players on the enemy team will be higher mmr.
