I agree with Jagmag. A lot of the toxic behavior you see is an attempt to get others to dodge so they don't have too.
For example, yesterday I lost a ranked game because of a really unskilled duo in a ranked game. Knowing these trolls were probably re-queuing, I waited 5 minutes before joining the queue in the hopes of avoiding said trolls. Yet, of course, here they are on my team AGAIN (ty Rito). I became pretty frustrated that I had these trolls on my team again and knew I was going to dodge. At this point I would have to wait 30 minutes to join the queue if I dodged so I decided my best option was to try to get someone else to dodge. I locked in my "off meta" pick in hopes of getting a dodge from a teammate- I was never going to actually play vayne jungle with clarity/smite, but I hoped the threat of it would get a dodge from someone else. But, in this example these guys were all baddies, so they obviously didn't even think to dodge, and ultimately I had to use another one of my dodges. I mean, if no one on your team is going to dodge a ranked game when someone is running vayne smite/clarity, then clearly you have a team full of brain-dead trolls, and it is validation that you were right to be prepared to dodge the game anyway.
I would rather wait 30 minutes and lose 10 LP and watch TV, than for sure waste 20-50 minutes in complete frustration because of a troll duo and lose 15-18 LP.
