Please stop embarrassing these boards with your "forced 50% winrate" conspiracy theories.

There are a lot of serious people having good discussions here. They're trying to get Riot to listen to these boards.

They don't need you to show up saying idiotic shit about how Riot is somehow giving you bad teams and that it's all some big bad conspiracy by Tencent to keep you addicted to this game.

If you're hardstuck at your shit elo and can't quit the game that's your problem. If you absolutely have to preach the conspiracy, take your bitching to Player Behavior and look for the people with -30 on their posts, you'll find minds like yours.

And this is all coming from someone who enjoys being an ass and got banned here twice. Even I think this is stupid and out of control. If you wanna troll at least keep it productive and above 60 IQ.

Thanks.

It isn't a conspiracy theory though, the system does try to push you towards a 50% win rate, it is why people above that 50% tend to get purple more often (blue side has a higher win rate) and tend to have a lower total team MMR.

To disclose this, I have started a study of my own games. With relative WR, average WR, position WR. I post a daily report usually with stats on EUW off-topic board.

I use to give comment on mates performance and then check WR stats. Most of the time, the worse I rate them before checking stats, the worse is their WR or/and their MMR compared to my current MMR.

Only of my own team. I don't think useful to post enemy team WR, so far because I have to teamwork with mine, not the enemy. I might include enemy's stats in future reports... May be.

For this case-study I used a Silver 4 MMR account who was placed into bronze 2 at start of this season. Usually, I level 1 to 4 accounts each season to gold and then I stop playing those accounts.

The purpose of this case-study as stated above is to disclosure if the matchmaker assigns worst WR to you once above certain WR%. I post my own WR and mates average. Of course, in my team average I do not apply mine. I use current WR to calculate this, so if you have an overall WRo f 51% but your current WR is 40% (last 10 games) I use the second.

@OP

Irony of your post: When you do a statement about the non-existence of a conspiracy without performing a case-analysis... You are conspiring about the non-existence of a conspiracy. I started to conduct this analysis because around bronze-silver-gold MMR, most of the players are like you. State things that are really paradoxical, visceral and most of the times... Non factual.

Riot has confirmed that you should hover around the 50% win rate. there's a logical explanation for this.

When you hit the point where your skill matches your opponents, you should win half your games.

If you win a game, you play against slightly better opponents than the previous match. If you win another game after that, you're going to play against even better opponents until you lose a match.

On the flip side, if you lose a game, you will be placed against slightly worse players, if you lose another one after that you're going to play against even worse players until you win a match.

This is is why we hover around a 50% win rate.

If you were allowed to maintain a 60% win rate, then you would never improve at the game. Your opponents would always have that skill gap between you and them.

Edit; before you bring it up, everyone asks "How do you explain winning/losing streaks?". These are a combination of factors. You could've found a champion that clicked for you. Maybe you are trying out an OP build on a strong champion. Or you're just having a good day of league, you're playing well and that carries onto the next games.

On the other side of this, tilting.

If you tilt in a game you're much more likely to perform worse in the next game as well. This is the cause of many losing streaks. People lose one game for a dumb reason, then tilt and try to play more, and perform worse and worse.

My only issue with the ranked system is that it's based on both MMR (who your matched with) and divisions with promotions. (what you have to actually play though to rank up. When in reality imho it should ve one or the other. Either you always get matched with people in your division or your rank is based on your MMR. So if I have a gold 4 MMR I should not have to fight through promos to get to gold 5 from silver 1. My division should simply represent my mmr. Especially since the game tries to match you against your own skill level and it's effectively a 65-35% chance of ranking up. It takes 1 game to hit promos and then you have to win 3 of the next 5 games resulting of having a 60-70 percent Winrate over 6 games to rank up in a system that matches you for a 50% Winrate. Or it should be based solely on the division and you play against people in silver 1 exclusively until you rank into gold.

I feel like the majority of the frustration and the conspiracies are tied into this which is intended to promote grinding and increasing the games needed to play to reach your actual skill level reflected in your division. This is largely the reason I have never actually gotten to gold because by the time I hit silver 1 I am playing against gold 4-3 players every game and it's super hard to hit that winstreak right at the correct time to actually rank up. Hitting promos with +10 LP per win/loss is easy. But actually win streaking out is hard. And then I give up because that aspect is pretty much RNG of playing enough games.

I don't know man, when I go on win streaks I don't really feel like the people are better. I feel like my teams are just worse. Don't take that as "bad game" excuse either. Some of them are 4 divisions below the average, some of them are super toxic, some are tilted, etc.

There are a lot of serious people having good discussions here.

You sure about that? I mean, there are some, for sure, but a lot of people having good discussion?
