It can work, though. Steroids and free mana sustain. AoE damage and a stun. An ultimate that makes ganks fast and even reactionary.

Where is his AOE slow? His ability to reveal invisible units? His innate mana sustain? His wave clear? He has none of that.

I don't see it going meta, for 2 reasons.

Reason 1 is mastery. AFAIK, the only "ranged" champ that functions well in the new jungle is Kayle. Obviously TF can and does work, but not getting destroyed on your first 2 clears calls for a level of mastery that most players simply do not have the time to build up when they can just play, you know, any other jungler.

Reason 2 is his ultimate. he can TP halfway across them map and come in from nowhere, but a properly done jungle gank ALREADY DOES THAT. You get more from having that in lane and being able to do a sudden 4 man pile up in bot.
