Any plans for Yasuo changes Riot?

I know i am going to get flamed but i remember in the patch notes of 4.18 u guys said " We'll be keeping a close eye on Yasuo with these changes" and it seems like u never did considering he has one of the lowest win rates currently, and for good reason. He is just too squishy in lane, dont get me wrong he can still be a beast late game but he gets crapped on in lane so hard it makes it impossible to get to the late game, now im just wondering if you guys at riot have any plans to buff him or at least something to make him a bit stronger ( like reverting the HP nerf ). I love the samurai dont get me wrong but i cant ever take him to ranked because he gets destroyed

We're testing some tentative buffs at the moment for patch 4.21 on the theory that we did indeed hit him a bit too hard. What we're currently trying is +5 movement speed (reverting half of the previous nerf) and changing Q's CD to 4s flat (rather than 5s to 4s by spell rank).

Wow, a champion with godlike mobility, a free (nearly)500 HP shield, insane damage, AoE knockup and the freaking WINDWALL actually has the weakness of being squishy? How can they do this, I demand him getting the survival power of Rammus NOW! Maybe they can make it a third passive, I mean, cmone, he only has 2...

There needs to be something done with Yasou. Everything in his kit is incredibly strong.

Honestly, if they removed his double crit chance, but reverted the 5+ nerfs to his shield and stats, I'd be fine with that.

He crits twice as often with crit items. The free crit chance more than makes up for the lowered crit damage. Just because his crits do slightly less damage doesn't make it okay that he benefits from crit items twice as much as any champ, aside from Trynd (his passive, but at least Trynd doesn't get a flat crit chance bonus all the time; he actually has to rely on a resource, the same resource that he uses for his ult and his other skills). It's a gimmick that's designed to look like a weakness, except it's only really apparent early, before he can do a fuck ton of damage with crit strikes.

@Meddler as a long time Yasuo player (over 1000 played Yasuo games over a variety of accounts) let me start by saying his shield needs to be buffed hard.

There's nothing worse than when you get off a good ult in a late game teamfight hitting 2-3 people, refresh your shield, only to have it nullified because someone has a sunfire cape.

Yasuo's shield last 1 second (lol) and so does his ult duration, by the time you've landed your shield has dissapated, effectively rendering it useless

I propose that we change the shield duration from flat 1 second at all levels to 1 at 1-6 1.5 at 7-12 and 2 at 13+

Wouldn't hurt to also give him more hp/lvl but with the new base stats idk how any of that shit works

Scaling MR though he needs it now

I honestly think his early game is fine, it's how it should be, weak. But he's paying for his early game by shitting all over his late game as well, if anything his late game needs some buffs

Dear Meddler, you shouldn't aim to adjust Yasuo by simply tweaking the numbers here and there. Numbers are not his problem. It is fine that there are champs that snowball or get snowballed upon, but with Yasuo you got a too extreme situation and you ended up from shifting his original intended design from bruiser first- assassin second, to assassin only 2x crit passive chance gives him a huge power spike because of all that free damage he receive by just completing 1-2 common and powerful items, that iou just punish him hard in the first levels(and you actually have a chance to do it because you nerf him to the oblivion) or you are going to suffer for the rest of the game

Take out the redundand thing on his kit, namely: -2x crit chance passive(swap it with increased damage on crit hits) -shield reset on ulti -reduce armor pen duration on ulti to 7-8 seconds

And then you can start buffing everything else on the kit, like MS, health, shield strength and duration, Sweeping Blade bonus cap, etc...

His laning phase is too strong? tada, his crit passive now scales with 125, 150 175, 200% at level 1, 6, 11, 18.

Problem solved, now give him back that bit of hp. or buff his shield .

I feel they need to bring the wind wall passive on Yasuo back. I feel adding this would add a level of sustain from actually building the shield yourself. At this point since the removal of the passive I feel like the shield is over looked and it only seems like a small bonus to Yasuo instead of something you can focus on building to help you maintain lane. This would benefit Yasuo from being demolished early and bring more importance to the dash other than a gap closer.
