Advice on how to proceed (Ranked issue)

I've mained Xin for a long time, since around season 5. I've been steadily improving in a lot of ways and finally started making the climb towards gold. I hit S1 and I'm at 43LP atm.

The issue is, I'm not sure what to do. We don't have much time left in the season and I feel like I have to relearn this champion, I also want to continue climbing, but I'm not sure I can with someone else. Should I just let getting to gold for this season go, or wind up dragging my team down trying to adjust to a new champion. Throwing out these reworks at the end of the season feel kinda shitty because I feel like I'm stuck in a rough spot. He's been out of the spotlight for a long time so he's rarely ever banned and even less frequently picked by someone else.

I'm sure with the changes we'll go through the wave of being banned for a while, I'm just not sure of what to do in the mean time, or how to proceed with continuing to climb. Or if I'm just utterly boned for this season. I don't see being able to play him for a while, due to the shiny factor that comes with a rework/new champ. Just kind of at a loss, looking for some advice from more experienced players.

Play AAtrox/Jax/other champions similar to Xin.

There's no real downside to trying to go for gold and failing as far as I can see. If still suggest playing some games with Xin and maybe some other champs that you enjoy in normals to see if there's anything you think you can do well with, but after that don't sweat it. You're not going to demote to bronze and if you accidentally tank your rank it'll reset pretty soon anyway. Even if you just resign to just playing average every single game you can still pick stuff that's brainless and win games via coin flip.
