Should I get Caitlin or Jinx?

Both are similar in teamfights, lots of ranged damage on multiple targets. Jinx has a weaker early game however, and caitlin has better range. Which one should i get?

Caitlyn has some mobility in her e. Jinx has better hyper carry potential (Jinx snowballs harder).

Basically pick what you want. If you make a positioning mistake on Jinx it punishes you a LOT more. So Caitlyn is by far the safer choice. Jinx brings more damage though.

I have mastery 5 with both, but I definitely think that Jinx is more 'fun'. She has a lot more really awesome moments, and a lot more decision-making. On Cait, the decision is where do you stand. Now this is super-important (for all adcs), but doesn't give me the same kind of thrills.

Cait is safe and strong. Jinx is much more risky, but with a slightly higher ceiling. What do you prefer there?

For what it's worth, it's likely Cait will see some very minor nerfs in the next 2 patches. I don't think it'll be significant enough to make this choice different for you.

Jinx has much better skins too. :D

Jinx is a hyper carry. Caitlyn is not.

Caitlyn is better in lane. Jinx is weaker in lane

Both are good.

jinx is my favorite champ so i'm terribly biased. but cait imo is easier to play, i would say get her (she's cheaper anyways) and practice her then get jinx later.

though i just noticed your on my friends list, you play a lot of vayne so jinx wouldn't be to bad for you similar late game power and you're used to having a weak laning anyways. although jinx isn't nearly as weak in lane as people say, especially considering how big she gets 4-5 items in. her chompers are great to chain with your supports cc to get early level 2 kills and once you get used to them and not wasting them its pretty easy to stop ganks with them. plus her q is great gives you aoe and more range or free attack speed. plus her ult, it just makes me smile when you land it across map on top lane. also it's aoe %mising health way better than caits imo.
