Mages are still able to shove without consequences, while having better cc, utility, burst than assassins.

Taliyah is pretty similar to tf considering they both revolve around map pressure but Taliyah is just ten times more bursty and is actually a lane bully.

If you wanna see champions like zed, yasuo, fizz, talon during worlds you should start actually nerfing syndra or orianna meaningfully.

The competitive mid lane meta is still taliyah, syndra, orianna, Cassiopeia. I have no idea why they are allowed to be such lane bullies, just look st Cassiopeia.

Hits you with a q while you try to cs? You lose half your hp cause she spams e on you. She is a lane bully with hyper scaling and utility through w/r.

zed yasuo and fizz hold 3 out of 5 positions in the 5 most banned champions list. riot is not going to ruin solo queue to this extend for the sake of the LCS.

Competitive mid meta and solo Q mid meta are different. Talon is running rampant in solo Q. Not in pro play because he can't deal with the abundance of tanks and coordination.

I'd rather have a mage heavy mid lane than an AD/assassin heavy mid lane any day because the counterplay to mages is way more present than it is with the other champs there.

Your argumentation is rather flawed. Sure, those 4 mages have been in pro play for a while because they simply are the most well-rounded and safest champions. They certainly aren't the only champions in the mid lane meta, though. Twisted fate, while weaker than Taliyah in the laning phase, has a significantly stronger mid-late game than her; he is also one of the highest played mid laners right now in Korea. Kassadin is a clear counter to syndra, cassio, taliyah, and orianna. While not played as often, Vladimir, Corki, Zed, Lucian, and Katarina are still very good counters to these mages when used correctly.

Although I think pro play has always been extremely boring, and I'm sure it is your main concern in your post, I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the mid lane, but rather the less intriguing tank junglers and top laners. I'd much rather see a skilled matchup between a Taliyah and a Cassiopeia than a Sejuani and a Gragas....booooring.

I think pros like to pick these mages for the mid lane because they can deal better agaInst tanks, if you look at the top, jungle and supp picks, they are mostly tanks or high-peel champs , and guess what? tanks and champs like Janna stomp over assasins, that is why they are not so often picked like the likes of Cassiopeia or Taliyah, it does not mean that cass is busted or Zed is weak. A good Zed will still have the upperhand laning against a Syndra or a Cass, but will probably get wrecked by that Cho'gath and that peel from a Janna. So dont hold it against the mages and cry for nerfs because they are totally fine.

People complain about how syndra and ori are "OP" and "broken" in solo queue Then people find legitimate counters (Lucian and Corki), so they start playing those midlane. Now people bitch about how the entire meta is ADC-dominant and that things need to change.

The sirens of the "Waah"-bulance are heard loud and clear.
