I've been stuck at Gold IV 0 LP for over 300 games, should I just give up?

Seriously, I'm sick and tired of playing ranked just be thrown into a team where I make no difference on the outcome of the game, I have over 30 mastery 7 champions, none of which I'm good at, I just got them BECAUSE, a couple games ago I played my most played champion with almost 900k mastery points and went 9/5 but our Yasuo afk'd half way through the game and we wound up losing because I was the only lane fed, I received absolutely NO ganks, I got fed all by myself, but it still made no difference, whatsoever.

Do you know what it's like being placed with people who don't know how to build against , or perhaps being OVER 200 LEVELS higher than the people you are facing, and possibly spending more time with this game than most masters players? I sure do, and it's awful. You're reminded every time you jump into a game with friends how much you hate your life playing this game.

I know this sounded like a rant, but I'm genuinely curious on how smurfs actually climb in this elo hell. (This isn't gold, this is silver) I know when my team is being stupid fighting in the jungle not getting objectives and when I go get objectives the enemy team just five man dives me while my team sits around mid lane doing god knows what.

I'm so quitting this game when WoW classic comes out, but in the mean time, SHOULD I JUST GIVE UP ON CLIMBING?

Yes, there is no doubt. You should definitely "just give up". You'll be a happier person. Probably healthier and wealthier, besides. The wisest decision that you could make.

If you are stuck it is your personal skill that is preventing you to climb.

The same thing just happened to me. Interestingly enough, it feels like Gold is even worse than Silver or Bronze are in regard to trolls/feeders. Recently just climbed out of silver after climbing pretty consistently and as soon as I hit gold I've had the worst streak of games that I've ever had. Now my MMR is so fucked that I can barely climb. Also, got matchmade with a toplaner who is bronze while I'm G4 last game, thanks riot. This is probably where i quit this game for good.

Smurfs are also having a hard time climbing too.

It's not you it's just the matchmaking system.

SOMETIMES it is us but most of the time it's the matchmaking system.

Looking at your OP.GG, it looks like you love to play a wide variety of champions. 11 champions where you have at least 15 games on them. That can be fun, but remember that if you JUST want to have fun there is normal draft. If you want to climb in yolo queue you have to do what works, which means to play very few champions that click with you. That can get boring, but if you get bored of that, again, normals.

It is only May, you have HALF A YEAR more to go before the ranked season ends, feel free to take a break. Want to see if anything new clicks with you when you return? Try this site out. There's this one too if you want a bigger pool of champions (enable plug-ins/scripts icon should pop-up somewhere near your address bar). Try those heroes out for a few dozen rounds in normals, if you like one of 'em you can try climbing w/ them later. If you play a hero in ranked ~15 times and it isn't above a 50% WR, might not be clicking/ranked ready for you.

Remember that being at a certain rank for a long period of time means that YOU DESERVE TO BE THERE. Bad teams can delay your rise, good teams can propel you a bit further than you should be, at the end of the day you're where you belong. Maybe they don't buy QSS or an exec's calling when it is obvious that they should. Maybe you're doing the equivalent in different areas.

What point is there to climbing higher? Bragging rights? More stressful games?

Just get the Victorious skin and go play Normals.

As a fellow Gold IV player I've noticed that if MasterYi gets through bans that it's an almost guaranteed loss because people won't draft around the pick.

went 4-0 placements then had an unlucky game, and then a game with no top/mid/jg now 4-2

I look at your profile https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Auccuatt and I see only 2 games where you are the ace/mvp out of the last 20 ranked solo games, you've only been the best on your team two times. that's 10%

that means you are not the best player on your team whatsoever, and this is the elo you belong in right now, if you want to improve, then improve

stop playing them then. your only positive win rates are kennen and pantheon, stop playing other champions for now.

and yes you will lose games on kennen/panth, faker loses games, but so far they're at a 60% winrate while everyone else is below 50%.

if you want to climb you have to have impact on the game

Because levels =/= skill lmao. The easy way to climb is to 1 trick a champion you can hardcarry with, for me that is Sejuani and Shyvana. This elo is as easy as Bronze to get out of, sorry but you just need to play better.

This whole patch was a clusterF, since they added iron everything went downhill, I don't say I am a good player but still is pretty hard to fall from Plat to almost Silver, thanks riot.
