Luden's Echo and the Return of AP Gangplank?

destos··2 votes·2,649 views

Luden's Echo, the new 120 AP item currently on the PBE which has the following characteristics: +120 AP +7% Movement speed

Unique Passive: Gain charges upon moving or casting. At 100 Charges the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 100 ( +15% AP) bonus magic damage to up to 4 targets on hit.

now my question is "Does Gangplank's Q proc this?"

because if it does then we can finally bring back AP GP OP build : Statikk Shyv, Ludens echo, Lichbane and Nashors and watch the Q magic damage fly!

although if this doesnt proc it then AP GP OP will forever remain dead :(

Sorry bud. But you do realize how annoying he'd be if that was possible. His w's passive speed with lichbane's speed plus luden's speed = no need for boots. That'd be really stupidly op. Return of the AP GP OP.

I'm pretty sure that GP's Q is an ability that applies on-hit effects?

quick checks Wiki info:

"Parrrley is a single targeted ability. Applies on-hit effects, on-attack effects, life steal and fully critically strike. Parrrley behaves like a melee auto-attack. Parrrley can be affected by on-being hit effects coming from champions and items. Frozen Mallet item.png Frozen Mallet and Iceborn Gauntlet item.png Iceborn Gauntlet will apply the strongest melee version of their slows. Phage item.png Phage and Trinity Force item.png Trinity Force will trigger the strongest melee version of the movement speed bonus. Tiamat item.png Tiamat's and Ravenous Hydra item.png Ravenous Hydra's splash damage will trigger, and Parrrley will not interact in any way with Runaan's Hurricane item.png Runaan's Hurricane's passive. Parrrley can be Aegis Protection.png blocked, Counter Strike.png dodged or Riposte.png parried. Banshee's Veil item.png Spell shields will block the ability. This ability is considered to be a projectile for Unbreakable.png Unbreakable and Wind Wall.png Wind Wall. Additional Information:

Parrrley resets Gangplank's autoattack timer. Every unit killed by Tiamat item.png Tiamat's or Ravenous Hydra item.png Ravenous Hydra's splash damage or the procs from Statikk Shiv item.png Statikk Shiv and Iceborn Gauntlet item.png Iceborn Gauntlet will grant Parrrley's bonus gold and refund mana. This makes it possible to refund more mana than the ability costs (returning the full mana used with 2 kills and returning more than the used mana with 3+ kills)."

It says it's an ability, so AFAIK it should apply the echo.

Rather than the wiki info, the simple question is: Does Gangplank Q proc Rylai/Liandry? If it does, then it can proc this.

Static shiv proc combined with Luden proc will make for interesting AoE burst.

Considering every spell says it procs spellvamp which would indicate a spell cast that procs Luden's the wiki would straight forward tell you that his q applies spell vamp. Look her for an example. -> http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ezreal Click on the "ability details" on Ezreal's Q and it won't say it applies spellvamp. Because it doesn't. We all know that. Think of it this way: Anyone that can use an ability to get spellvamp out of it will proc Luden's Echo. You will get the stacks from using your Q but it won't proc it is all. Okay my homie?

Give Gangplank the Fizz treatment, both on-hit and on-spell effects. That way we can have a Lich Bane, Stattick Shiv, Luden's Echo, Liandry's Torment, and Rylai's/Morellonomicon build.
