Lux Vs Xerath?
Which is better, and for what reasons. There kits are extremely similar, what makes one better then the other. Why should i chose one over the other.

Xerath has more consistent damage over time and if you land his whole kit offers great damage. He's also less of a sitting duck than lux because if she misses her bind her damage is going to go down drastically.
On the hand, Lux if fed is able to Q,E,R a carry and blow them up from a safe distance (assuming they actually get binded) and is able to increase her whole team's effective HP by quite a bit. She will fall off late game quite a bit harder than xerath though.
As a Xerath main I can assure you that he is totally out of place now. There is no Keystone worth taking while Lux goes perfectly with either TLD or DFT. Plus her CC and damage are farm more reliable compared to Xerath.
How is Thunderlords a bad option on Xerath?
It isnt But it feels horrible on him
It does? It's never felt wrong to me. It synergizes perfectly with your basic EWQ combo
This si the thing. You need to land that combo which it means you are not farming because early game Xearth's CDs are long enough to make the enemy erase all that damage before the planets allign again (and he would be stupid enough to let the slowest skillshot stun hit him).
EWQ+TLD is also not enough to secure a kill unless you have your ultimate ready and the enemy was not at full hp when the combo started. Anyway TLD doesn't fit the playstyle. Once early laning has gone your job is to bypass the tanky frontline to get carries down and that is where TLD gets useless because you will most likely hit the slow moving tanks more often than squishy carries.
Xerath will probably win lane with better poke and manaregen, but he can't kill Lux unless he is overfed, while Lux can kill him if she hits her Q.
Xerath is harder to play. Lux was overbuffed. Play Lux unless they nerf her. If they nerf her, play Ziggs or Xerath.
They're actually kinda different...in short: lux is more utility oriented. not a lux main, so take this with a grain of salt: she can shield allies, has empowered base attacks from his passive on everyone she hits with abilities, has a long range multitarget root, her E is a powerful zoning tool, and her spammable nuke is kinda good. xerath excels at bringing damage from far far away, because if you get any closer to him, he's usually dead. he got slow (W) and a stun (E), but the stun is generally unrealiable, so he got to use it only when 100% effective, his W is a mid-to-long range that also slows (alot if you hit the center). his r it's not something you can spam around: it hits hard, but it's as hard to land, and you're rooted, and you're visible to everyone while casting it, and you can't cast any other spell during that time. the passive gives some kind of advantage during laning phase, if you manage to aa the minions without getting caught; falls off later in the game. So xerath if you want do bring doom and destruction from afar, lux if you care less aboutadoing all that mess, because you care more about your allies
cuz laser beams :)
