Ryze broken..? bug..? idk

Well, I was playing Yasuo top against a Ryze. I first blooded him, then got another kill then we both got a kill on eachother (in short, he was 1-3-0 at that point). Then we both got back to lane and were both level 7, I jumped on him with E - I was with full health - and he used a SINGLE q, SINGLE w and SINGLE e and dealt a total damage of 1.1k. Wtf? From that point of the game he was much stronger and eventually we lost... Any insights on how the fuck Ryze q-w-e for 1.1k damage? =-=
