Tips for ADC

I wanted to get better at ADC... im already Decent and i got the kting mechanics down but my main issue and the reaosn why i dont like adc is the laning phase... i can get a good lane at times but mostly when im ADC im getting supports that think they should hide behind me e.g. Leona or blitzcrank ... i politely say play more upfront as i play support as my secondary mainly so i thought best share tips i know too... anyways i say play more upfront as you can zone them so hard just walking up to them could scare them off but they just hide behind me then run up to try and engage which firstly ... gets me zoned and 2nd its very obvious that youre going to engage by doing that ... so i explain that too.... and then theres champions like sona or nami who do the same ... i had a bard once that just sat behind me spamming W rather than zoning with Q and meep... the quest was completed past 16 mins...

Basically what im getting at is how do i play as an ADC when my support is playing far back? Ive tried just trying to get whatever farm i can but im just getting zoned away ._.

I main Sona. I'm an ultra aggro supp and if you wanna add me we can lane together so you can train. I almost exclusively play her supp (sometime mid if I have to) for the last 2-3 years. add me and we can play whenever we're on.

You're gonna get bad supps, trust me I've had a million bad ADCs and as Sona that is nearly a death sentence. eventually you learn how to deal with it by changing your play style to fit your counterparts. It just takes time.

Add me and we can duo: Disco Duchess

Sometimes you have to accept the zone and just get what you can get. ADC are like damage supports, staying safe and using their team's playmaking to squeeze dmg in where possible.
