League of Legends - A Lethal Factor - The Strength of Lethality

One of the most recent important developments in the League of Legends metagame is the lethality change. Whereas armor penetration was a flat value, lethality is calculated based on a relatively complex formula.

Overall, lethality has come to be much stronger than flat armor pen at shredding up armor, effectively bringing strength back to assassins in the meta game.

And AD assassins having strength is a problem…how?

Lethality is also only stronger in end-game, not in early.

It is in no way stronger armor pen was much stronger throughout the whole game up until probably level 17-18 before that in all situations armor pen was better.

Lethality is a split between flat pen and scaling pen, I think by a 40/60 ratio. So lethality only become stronger at end game lvls 16-18.

The problem with it a couple patches ago was that items were offering too much of it. They've toned that down these last couple of updates and its in a much better state now, imo.
