Team Fights As Akali and other champs

So I recently started playing and I don't know what to do in team fights. I aim for there ADC and I get shredded I stay back I still die. What do I do as Akali (and with other champs) to do any team fights well? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Since she is an assassin you want to let others start fights

Since she's a Tank / Assassin just sit in your shroud until you can E E Q AA someone then R the rest.

Yeah thats what i do except they consider me as immediate threat and sit around my shroud until its gone
