I did support Shaco once and was the most dangerous person on my team. Doesnt mean I'd ever consider doing it every once in a while

I've went Mordekaiser "support" before and it also worked. It doesn't mean it's a good idea.
not hard to get an S rank with a champion in a role he never is played in... there is no one to compare you to
