The announcer isn't really that great and could be much much better. Or at least get something new.
Also, the background music is so boring that I have to play different music in the background. Can the music like freaking pick up during teamfights or be more epic??? it's just boring.
How cool would it be to have two announcers? A happier female voice for "good news" (minions spawn, killing sprees, etc) and a deep male "villain-esque" voice for "bad news" (an ally has been slain, an enemy is godlike).
You know, it could be interesting. The music changes tempo or something for every extra person in combat. A full 5v5 teamfight would be insanely epic.
People might actually like to support a tad more just for the music during laning. Who knows?
or something insane like dr. mundo for all the bad news. not dr. mundo himself but something alike
I would just like to see announcer packs using the voices of various champions, like Dota has. It'd be cool to have Vel'koz doing all of the announcer stuff for my games.
The music I think is intentionally kept like it is. They don't want it interfering with the audio on abilities and hurting gameplay.
