This gameplay oddity with FQC as an item.
So immobile champs have largely been accepted as being inherently weaker due to being immobile, right? They're basically artillery cannons that need to be peeled and protected.
So you exasperated their weakness by putting an item in the game that solely affects them the most. Champs with a lot of mobility in the form of abilities aren't that hurt.
Couple this with the fact that it's employed by and large by mages whose counterplay is dodging their abilities, which the powerful slow from these ghosts makes it really hard to avoid.
So you strengthened some of the most powerful champs in the game against their own kind while doing basically nothing to affect their primary enemies.
I don't understand why this exists. Yes it was in the game before as Twin Shadows, but the slow was 2.5 seconds at all ranges, which meant if you got hit, yeah it'd screw you if you were already close. But now it's being upped to scale to 5 bloody seconds of being slowed, which for anyone without a leap or a jump just screams, "Ha, you're boned. Might as well sit there and cry." I really do not think I should be seriously debating blowing my Zhonya's on something that does absolutely no damage just because if it touches me I'm almost guaranteed to die from the ensuing dogpile.
To explain: From a gameplay perspective, this makes no sense. It makes easier targets of champs that are already easy targets to begin with while being used by champs that do much better against easy targets. You've made an item that is used by one group to kill the same group with the only reasonable counterplay being... using the same item to counter itself. You see why this item is fucked up?
The worst part is that it's cheap and it tends to pay for itself. Twin Shadows was an item you had to commit to buy and be ready to face that period of weakness beforehand - the new FQC can be picked up within the second back, and I've seen it picked up on the first back.
Maybe the problem is that it's just too viable to pick up outside of a supporting role - in which case, why not remove the passive gold over time and just up the amount generated from poking people?
Never had a problem with her, but with this item, juking snares is impossible unless the Lux is a retard.
