Chamuel852 votesADC's don't really need lifesteal first. Your job is to do lots of damage. The extra damage is more valuable than the potential lifesteal. IF you get jumped on, then as an adc you're probably dead anyway with or without lifesteal.

UberAffe2 votesI rarely get lifesteal (outside of dorans) as adc. I main adc varus and I always get static shiv > IE > Boots. If the game gets longer then that I get Rapid Fire, the last couple items depend on what I need that game Dominicks, QSS, Essence Reaver, Maw, BT, and rarely GA because most of the time if i die late game its because my team is dead and GA won't actually help.

An ADC absolutely needs IE, Zeal items, Boots. Before anything else. And if the enemy rushes armor will also need armor pen before lifesteal. And if the enemy Talon keeps one shotting them they will need GA before Lifesteal. That is IE, Zeal item, Boots, Pen and possibly even a defensive item before lifesteal. Many ADCs have 2% lifesteal plus Doran's Blade, and some still even have Warlords. Sustain early game is achieved through good play, even just a vampiric scepter by 25-30 minutes is more than enough in most cases.
