In defense of the balance team when it comes to Galio.

I think it's often overlooked just how ungrateful the Job pf the Balance Team is.

They never get to be creative and do something completely new themselves, it's basically their job to clean up the messes that the Champion Update, Gameplay Update and new Champion teams leave behind.

To me it seems like because these teams aren't the ones who have to fix it in the end, sometimes these guys don't take balance into consideration to have the champion be closer to their "creative vision" or something like that and overload their kits because they don't want to let some of the things they intended at the beginning to go.

I'm not saying that the Balance Team doesn't make mistakes aswell but imagine you would have to deal with the whole mess that the Juggernaut update was ( especially Morde ) with release Camille, the absurdity that is the new Galio and a ton of other things without having any say about what they end up being until they nearly hit the live servers.

I believe if the Champion Update team would've had to balance Galio themselves once he came out, he wouldn't have ended up with nearly as ridiculous of a kit. Alas, they have the luxury of not having to care about it too much because again, they won't have to clean the mess up that they create and often times the Balance Team gets the majority of the blame anyway.

I know all of this is kind of just speculating but I just can't help the feeeling that there is at least some truth to all of this.

I think it's often overlooked just how ungrateful the Job pf the Balance Team is.

Sivir's Q buffs got hotfixed within half a day before they became a problem. Galio has been out for 1 1/2 days and they are "considering if there is a problem" while he's 100-0ing everyone. So don't talk about "ungrateful" when they're a acting like a bunch of chimpanzees over an obvious issue with even more obvious fixes they haven't applied yet.

They buffed the damage on a super tanky peal champion that wasnt even bad..they literally made galio not give a crap whether or not he is against a full ap team he is just gonna build ap.. because he scales more with it than MR by such a disgusting amount.

I dont really care if you are gonna complain about me comparing 2 different champions but both perform similar roles galio being alittle bit less strict with his role

Full ap TahmKench takes 3 hits for him to be able to eat one person and his W scaling is still nowhere near as good as galio`s q which is an aoe... not to mention Tahm uses his w to peel for teammates...he doesnt even have an ult that can cc damage or peel.

tahm has a stun? oh ya its so delayed that he or his adc are normally dead before he can get it off.

galio has an aoe taunt and 2 aoe knockups and a gap closer...

Plz put galio back into the role where he belongs....... how were they so idiotic as to make that skill scale more than a tahm`s w..

Also before anyone says "tahm should be building hp not full ap", galio should be building mr not full ap.

The numbers champions end up with are solely the responsibility of the balance team, and there's a difference between a mistake and, to use your example, current Galio.

I agree. Good gravy, they made a change and it's not working. It isn't like it won't be addressed. At some point they'll communicate, but it may not be on everyone's super impatient time line.

I knew this would happen just by looking at change...

I mean maybe we need a new balance team
