Yes, we get the sandbox mode, the improved rune system, the better client, I get all that. But it didn't change where it counts.

People are still toxic as shit.

You are giving me statistics that honors somehow changed that but I can't see any of it in my games. About pretty much every single game there is a flamer or AFKer on one of the teams. I know that there are a lot of people playing this game but how hard can it be to weed all of these people out?

I get those "your reports got someone banned"messages about every day now but it still doesn't change anything. The pool of toxic people stays the same and there is always someone else to replace them. They're like a flame-spewing Hydra.

I guess you can change the game but not the people that play it. Honestly that alone makes me inclined to quit the game again, if there wasn't the hope that it will improve once I'm lvl 30+. And you know what they say about hope.

I was pretty hyped about coming back after the new Runes Reforged got announced but it's pretty much all gone by now. It's just so fucking frustrating, this game could be so good if it weren't for these asshats.

/rant over

I don't even know why I'm posting this tbh.

It's a part of the community and there is an automated system in place now that targets toxicity and tries to make the place better. Outside of the champion additions, the constant refinement, the entire MOBA is roughly the same - at least until this recent patch. It is so much easier to go into matches and /mute all and to not feed into others if you don't mute the room. I am guessing the best advice is to have as much fun and try to never get angry or let it get to you like it does others and you'll have a lot more fun.

It made be early, but Riot has dramatically disregard the Jg camps. I was a jg main, but i can't bother to think about how. I've clear my camps easily, but somehow top has maybe 20 more cs than me, but 4 lvs up on everyone else even on his own teammates. That my last straw with Riot.

I say quit while your still ahead.

you can't fix a game with toxicity, there's toxicity in every online multi-person game. every single one. even the close-knit small community games.

If you ever want to see if Riot fighting toxicity, come to this board. You'll see over dozens of players being banned each day. These are just steps. The system is getting more strict, and the players who stick to the summoner's code doesn't only see their account last longer, but they get more rewards as they progress and your reports do count. You'll see that here if you remember their names. Just stick to the code and do your best.

Oh, I thought it was gonna be a good thing. Like hey, the most popular MOBA didn't turn into shit the past 3 years! It's the same! Good job Riot.

I literally mentioned this in a support ticket not long ago.

I think the major factor here is that nobody cares, people aren't scared of being banned, they think the report system is a joke and lets face it, it kind of is.

I recently came back after a year off because I got fed up with the toxicity in the community, its still the same and there is still the attitude of "report me, it doesnt do anything". I think what Riot need to do is review their punishment system properly and be stricter, a lot stricter. Not only that they need to inform people of it and be more transparent about the system they ave in place. The only way I know how the report system works is because I specifically submitted a ticket asking for details.

An example of how to deal with toxicity can be found by looking at Overwatch, pretty recently they announced a huge crackdown on toxicity. they were very transparent about what would happen and exactly how severe the punishments would be (an example is people being permanently banned from ranked matches).

I might make a separate post about this if a rioter doesnt reply here, but it essentially boils down to the fact that people are treating reports like a joke due to a lack of knowledge, warnings and severity of punishment.

On a personal note to the OP, try not to let them get to you dude, just try to shrug it off and focus on what it is you enjoy about the game if you can :)
