Regular wards die in one hit?

I was playing a match when a Zed just one-shot a regular ward that was at full health. Is this a new thing-- to be able to kill wards with one hit regardless of its 3 health or was it a bug? Am I misunderstanding something?

Mele champs with duskblade 1 shot wards with it's unique passive.
