Idea for poacher's knife

What if poacher's knife's smite had extra utility on its smite. Basically, my opinion is that it is a decent smite but is pretty easy to counter because you know exactly what the other jungler is gonna do if they build poachers knife. My idea is what if poachers knife had an extra utility that let you smite at an empty camp location (you still get the bonus gold and movement speed just not the camp kill) and then it would either respawn the camp you were going to in the enemy jungle or if not that then give you the timer on that camp (with like a picture on the map it self or maybe a timer on the item or the HUD) just so you could make your counter jungling more consistent. This is just an idea but I think it could be sort of cool and add some consistency to building Poacher's Knife. Thoughts?
