Amumu
So I play as Amumu a lot and I think he's pretty cool, but I am told he is a Jungler. Not sure how that works, but does anybody know what item combos would be good?

where do you play mumu?
He's a very good jungler because his laning phase isn't the best and he clears camps super fast.
This is my Mumu build in the jungle:

The Rylai's and Linadry's works great with his W. Plus this just makes him super tanky.
If you really want to just have fun, you could go the more AP route and get Magus, Rylai's, Lyandri's, Deathcap, Zhonya's, and Sorc Shoes.
This would make your W deal around 10% of their max health per second. Your E would be on a low CD dealing around 500 damage, and your ult would deal around 900 damage. That build is fun, but the tank route is the better way to go.
As with any jungler, you'll want to start with machete and 2 health pots. First thing to do is upgrade your jungle item. I like to get the one with the chilling smite, but ranger's trailblazer is another nice choice. Then enchant your jungle item. You'll definitely want the cinderhulk enchantment.
After that, things are going to get a bit more flexible. You'll want to pick up some boots and i personally like to get a sightstone and replace my yellow trinket with a red one. A lot of people will tell you one sightstone (on the support) is enough, but i'm a fan of the extra vision, since amumu's really all about the utility from his initiation.
All that's left is to round out your build with some tanky items. Look who is strong on the other team. Is it a magic damage dealer? Get Locket of the Iron Solari. A marksman? Get Frozen Heart.
Another nice item is Abyssal Scepter. Get this if your team has a lot of magic damage (for example mages both mid and top).
If you still have any empty item slots keep on buying tanky items like Righteous Glory (you may want to get this sooner if you are the only initiator on your team), Sunfire Cape (if your team is lacking in damage), or Randuin's Omen.
tl;dr Build tanky according to what your team requires and/or who is fed on the other team.
I started w/ Amumu in lane against bots and he's the reason I learned to jungle :D Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Here would be my suggestions on learning, please read the whole thing before you pass judgement, the first one sucks, but I'll add advice about it in the others:
One, level up your account some, you NEED some armor runes to be able to jungle (IF you really can't wait WW can get by w/ less since he has so much sustain, and you can learn to jungle w/ him until you have the level for Amumu). You can jungle before you hit level 20, but you won't start truly learning what jungling is about until you hit level 20 and can access a decent amount of masteries and more importantly tier 3 runes.
Two, check out solomid.net for an amumu guide. As much as their fans can be kinda troll, the reason I like TSM is their guides are where I learned how to jungle. They used to have some really good amumu guides that included jungle route explanations and even videos of amumu game play to show you how he jungles. They probably still have some good stuff on him so check it out.
Three, go youtube stonewall008. He does pretty good explanations of how and why you do stuff in the jungle and it's all sped up in spots where he's not team fighting so you can watch a 30 minute game w/ explanation in like 10 minutes. He doesn't play a ton of amumu (there are some in there though if you search his videos), but he gives a really good explanation of how to jungle and what you should be thinking of. As a side note, Nightblue3 is probably the most popular streamer for jungle mains, and used to do really good commentary on why he did what he does, but I haven't watched his stream in a while so I'm not sure if that's still true.
Four, if you're still playing bots w/ amumu you've got some time. Don't worry too much, and just keep playing him in lane vs bots, but go get the blue buff when you're playing bots and then go MWAHAHAHAHA as you cry on your lane opponent infinitely. (Also you can check out other junglers if you decide you like jungling since stuff like ww and fiddlesticks can jungle at a lower summoner level than amumu can bc they have more sustain in their kit and don't need the masteries and runes as much).
Here's my personal favourite build
Max E then W first since at your level I don't expect skill shots will be very easy for you to land. But if you can land them well enough then max Q second instead.

the rylais provides a slow automatically doubling the passive from liandries on any target hit. these items give decent ap for damage output and health synergysing with cinderhulk. add boots of your choice and one resistance item depending on the enemy team comp and you will do good damage and be quite tanky.
Alright some people are already posting bad builds.
First to explain health items and
. When you go
route you increase the value of health items by 25%. That is huge so when you build
make sure to rush health items with it. Do not rush
after
. It's just wasting potential and counter productive.
With this in mind you want to aim for items that get you health and resist at the same time and if you get a lead aim for some damage if you want like
.
Regular tank Amumu route is
. You can mix and mash what ever you need for the game and when you build those items get the ruby crystals early on. You can go pretty much build anything that is health and resist as long as you understand the reason behind each item.
For skills you want to aim for rushing 3 points in Tantrum and then maxing Bandage toss afterwards. Only put one point into despair at level 2 and max it last. It's strong but not early on. So 3 points into Tantrum, Max Banadage Toss after, then finish maxing Tantrum and lastly max Despair.
The reason behind putting early points into Tantrum is that it tremendously speeds up early jungle clear but towards mid game you want to max out Bandage Toss for it's your core ability for catching your foes.
Once you gain some experience with Amumu you can itemize some more offensive items like
but you still to rush an early health item before building it.
A lot of people will say to build
on Amumu but that doesn't make much sense when you take into account the reason Amumu is picked. Amumu is best with
. You pick Amumu to have faster wave clears and to reach level 6 asap with only light ganks early on. Amumu clears much faster with it and allows him to reach level 6 as soon as possible.
