Ok, I can (kind of) understand if a Zed says that, because he is countered pretty hard by it (if he gets fed, it doesn't matter, but whatever), but seriously, every other AD champ just waits 2.5 seconds and proceeds to smack him with his AAs. Meanwhile makes you actually unkillable for AP mages while also granting lots of AD, ArmorPen, and even some AtkSpeed, Lifesteal and Spellvamp. Not to mention it builds out of which is an excellent rush item for any AD vs AP lane by making him unable to beat you 1v1. Don't get me wrong, Zhonya's stasis is really strong in the right situation ( or if you have teammates to peel for you), but often the only thing it does is making you live 2.5 seconds longer.

if zhonya's is only stalling your death for its duration you arent using it right

2.5 seconds is more than enough for your team to destroy the assassin that dared dive the backline. Zhonya's problem is not 1v1, cause ofc you just wait, it's in a teamfight that it's so good

Kind of the point of Zonhya is to use it to negate the maximum amount of damage (read in as Zed's mark), and it doesn't really apply that much to Fizz unless you want to negate his shark or Trickster damage (since he's AP).

That being said, using Zonhya when you overextend and get ganked...Yes, it will only make you live 2.5 seconds longer because of your lack of precaution.
