Why are there Lulu Q buffs on PBE?

Current PBE build: Lulu Glitterlance (Q) AP ratio increased to 70% from 50%

I mean, the only thing you're going to accomplish with Q AP ratio buffs is moving Lulu into solo lanes...

Buffing AP ratios = improving their scaling = more useful with gold. Supports aren't getting much gold, and even if they get some, they won't spend it on AP. This is because current AP support itemisation SUCKS, we have 1 legit AP support item.

Buffing damage = improving her ability to trade and most importantly TO WAVECLEAR. This is actually huge for solo lanes, not so much bot lane. Sure, damage makes her better at poke, but Lulu never was primarily poke support

We want to buff support Lulu. We also want to buff solo Lulu a bit. It's something we've had a lot of trouble with in the past but still believe should be in a stronger state than it currently is.

Now, having said that the AP ratio increase doesn't accomplish both of those goals, given it does very little for support Lulu. Current plan is to replace that buff with something else as a result. It's the sort of unlikely to succeed change we'll occasionally do at the start of a patch cycle (often just internally, not on PBE). Intent is often to get an understanding of what a champion would look like were that true in the current state of the game or sometimes for someone to test something out that they believe in even if wider consensus is it's unlikely to have the desired result.

So you want lulu to be stuck as a support. Well soooo-rrryyy that some of us want to play her as a mage. :/

You know that the second enemy hit by Glitterlance and beyond only takes 50% of the initial damage (i forget the exact amount) since they nerfed her solo lane potential?

This won't be THAT huge. She may deal a little more damage to a single target now, but it still doesn't help her wave clear (Which was good on top of her utility/safety in solo lane). It shouldn't be a BIG problem but we'll see where it takes her.

God forbid she becomes the support bully she was meant to be again.

They can't make Lulu work as a support without being too strong solo lane. Might as well embrace her as a solo lane supportive champ. Ivern showed that supportive champs don't need to have shit scalings and be locked into botlane.

I was wondering how long it would take people to start complaining about any sort of Lulu buff. :/ I was kind of hoping people would be too busy looking at warwick to notice.....

Sigh... Hopefully they don't remove it... I would love to pick up my old main again, but currently other utility supports just seem like much better picks so it is feels hard to justify picking her currently. TT_TT

her solo lane is trash anyway after the recent Q nerfs. Supports also have decent AP itemization now, so I wouldn't ignore it completely.

thats a 0.14 AP ratio buff to her wave clear, (cause 30% REDUCED damage beyond the first target hit)

And lets asume she has 0-600 AP.

0-84 extra damage at min 1-30 wont break her.

I hope they keep the 20% AP buff to her. I would much rather fight Lulu top as a melee champion then fight Quinn Teemo Jayce . Yes Lulu is hard to kill but her damage is not really all that scary and easily manageable. Just rush a item 3211 and watch her damage drop a lot, since all she has for damage is her Q (and E if she uses it on you instead of shields herself) and then her passive bolts. You could just sit behind minions and have them block the passive bolts, and a decent amount of her Q's damage.

Once you transition to Mid/Late game she is just nothing but a strong support (Unless it's AD or AP On-hit Lulu). I don't get why people are crying over her being buffed, I never had a problem with top lane Lulu even back in Season 5 or when ever she was super common top lane.
