Because it wasn't a healthy interaction. It wasn't healthy when it was Zhonya's, and it became less healthy with Stopwatch.

Unless there's a new nerf. In which case, they're probably nerfing him so they can buff him.

He's being balanced around competitive because that's the only place willing to use him.

The interaction between his ult & Zhonyas should not have happened, as it delivers absolutely 0 counterplays & just ruins the "CC should stop his ult" logic.

Until they start nerfing popular mid lane champs like Yasuo or Zed, Ryze will always remains sleeper OP.
