I think we need more summoner spells. What does everyone else think?

Riot has been doing a lot of cool things to really change up the game. But summoner spells are still static and semi boring. There are just almost no choices.

I feel like we need some variety, maybe a quick cc sommoner. Or even a buff that a support can take to buff there ADC (similar to surge but can be used on self or ally). Maybe even a protections buff. Bring back fortify for just a single tower to help counter pushes. Maybe a shorter zhonyas active. Or even a stealth sommoner that allows you to move around stealth for a second or two similar to Khaxix ult. These are just some random quick ideas.

What does everyone else think? Do you agree with me or maybe not. I'm just interested how people feel about the current state of summoner choices.

I want a summoner spell that summons extra minions for a lane when cast. I hate when the whole team busy chasing an enemy while huge minion waves are coming :(

we need one that increases your defences for like... 5 seconds or something. Or something that amplifies turrets/makes them do true dmg, empower 1 minions wave

or maybe a thing that can summon a monster/pet thing that fights with you for like 10 seconds or something

Like many others here, I literally logged in just to vote Teemo. Not because it was there, but because we need a summoner spell to summon Teemo. Even if we are Teemo, let us summon more Teemo to spread his power across the rift. Our dark lord Teemo demands tribute. Bask in his glory. All hail Teemo.

Seriously tho, a handful of ppl that I can see in this thread so far want a summoner spell that summons minions, so why not have one that does a mini ritual to summon little devil Teemo like it was in the Teemoing? Give it a 666sec cooldown, have it take a few seconds, maybe 6, to summon him, maybe have the summoner be disabled slightly during that time and only have him last maybe 6 or 66 secs and boom. Prepping for a 5v5 team fight can suddenly become a satanic ritual where everyone is summoning our demonic lord to make it into a 10v10 max teemo fight.

Flash and Exhaust should be split into two spells.

Flash into a Dash that doesn't pass through walls and a second spell that works like a single-person Magical Journey.

Exhaust into a spell that slows 'n grounds the target and a second that shreds resist 'n nerfs their damage.

I've always wanted to see summoner 6 make the user invisible. Only, the blue ghosting animation is still visible and is always .5s behind the user. It would give players a chance to notice the invisible champion, but still allow for a degree of ambiguity about the user's position.

I'd also like to see a +MS & +AS summoner spell. Call it Haste. :)

I think there are some cool things they could do with Summoner spells if they get around to it. But the only way that we could get more spells without them being a waste of space if we got rid of "mandatory" summoner spells like summoner 4 to open up more options to players.

Although having more choices pregame would be interesting... I'm quite confident Riot would find a way to add even more unnecessary power to Champions!

The problem is not the lack of Summoner Spells, but rather how some have a very situational use. What are the main spells? summoner 4 summoner 14 summoner 6 summoner 11 summoner 12 summoner 7 That leaves summoner 1 summoner 13 summoner 21 . These last three have only niche uses that can be easily filled or become less useful into the game (Clense = QSS, Clarity = your first full item/mana crystal, Barrier = Hexdrinker/FOTM/Zhonyas). The main spells outperform the others because they stay relevant into the late game. There is a reason why flash is near universal, and a reason Clarity is rarely used. Plz rito, give me a reason to chose these summs

While I wouldn't be opposed to more Summoner Spells, the actual implementation of new ones would probably turn the community on its head.

Any new offensive spells would doubtless be considered "OP" for X reasons (Whatever the player chooses to complain about regarding them)

New defensive spells would be considered "OP" because players would probably use them in tandem with things like CoC.

That's just my conjecture, though.

I have an idea for a summoner spell -

5 ad / 5% increased AS / 5 armor/MR / 50+ HP for 5 seconds on a 120 sec CD does that sound fair ?

The main problem in summoner spell variety is the sheer power of summoner 4. Almost everyone picks it every game (save for summoner levels 1-7), and who can blame us? It's instantaneous, it can be used at any point as long as you're not CC'd, and the ability to reposition yourself at a moment's notice -- through walls, if you so desire -- is a godsend.
