Okay here is a scenario. You play mid go 1/1/0 ok cs. You group up and the fed yorick shows up and you cant even hurt him. What items besides liandries can a mage buy to counter these tanky champs? I mean at least ad champs have lord doms.

so reducing his healing will help greatly with dueling him
but as LOST FROST saided voidstaff is good if they stack alot of magic resist
Meep Man1 votes can make you deals tons more damage to Tanks as a Mage. As Ryze, you should be able to EQEQ... the enemy Yorick down as long as you can get him to stay at a distance from you and avoid being trapped in his W. Otherwise, if you don't buy a Liandries, you are out of luck since AP champions, unless they have sustained damage, aren't meant to perform extremely well against tanky champions.
