Ryze's ult with zhonyias
Why did they change the interaction so that it cancels his ult? Kennen does the same thing with his ult and his ult actually damages.

Because they're not the same thing. Kennen functions normally. Ryze's ult is an ability where he channels to teleport and the Zhonya's interaction was something they added in thinking it was pretty neat. But because of the Stopwatch (and Ryze being broken) this added interaction was too strong it was removed for making Ryze too unpunishable.
Kinda sounds like a way ryze could troll. Him and two other peeps on ult but at last second he zhonyas and leaves the two others people there to die.
Because it was a get out of jail free card for Ryze. R>Zhonya's for a free escape.
Tbh though it needs to be removed on all champions like that. Kennen, Fiddle, tbh even Morgana.
Because it was used in pro play and abused. It is way to strong as an escape. he is unkillable
