Shrurima The uneven peace of the Great Desert has been disrupted with the appearance Azir, the Emperor of the Sands and the great city of Shurima with the Sun disc, the multiple tribes of the desert have began to surround around the city, there are those who are eager and those who are afraid of what the Emperor will bring. the Darkin, corrupted Ascenders, have began to stir has well. Ionia Ionia is divided, between those who follow the old ways and those who follow the revolution. Those who follow the old ways follow Karma, the enlightened one, who wish for Ionia to heal from the Noxus invasion. The revolution is headed by Irelia, the maiden of Revolution, they wish to change Ionia, to train before another invasion. Meanwhile, the kinkou order have fallen and the veil between the spirit realm and this one has began to degenerate.

Every one of the nations you listed aren't in Valoran tho.... they are on different continents

"Peace" lmao. Shurimans have been fighting with one another, tribe vs tribe, city vs city etc for thousands of years. That's far from peace. And so far most ppl seem to rly enjoy the fact Azir came back. And among the Darkins, the only one we know of that is in Shurima is Varus who is unknown what will do or who his sister is

Regarding Ionia, Irelia doesn't want to rule anymore or some shit. She just wants to defend Ionia but that's it. Rn she isn't the leader of anything as far as I remember.

Regarding Targon, Diana unfortunately rn has gone to Ionia for whatever reason

Azir almost decides to destroy a little girls village just because Xerath was born there thousands of years ago. Riot isn't representing him purely as the second coming of Sand Jesus. Modern Shurimans have varying opinions on him ranging from happy to return to the old ways, uncomfortable for what lies in the future and who the fuck is this bird guy?

Some people are loyal to him. Not All and definitely not most.

Taliyahs' character is meant to represent a portion of Shurima who do NOT recognize Azir as their leader.

Not all yes. But I doubt at the not most part since he does have monopol over a shit ton of gold and water in a desert.

Taliyah has been away from Shurima for a few years when Azir returned. She literally only heard a few rumours about it from some unknowledgable Ionians.
