Highest Flex placement?

I'm gold 2 player in solo/duo queue and just started my flex provisionals. Got 9-1 and was placed in plat 4. I thought the highest rank you can get was gold 1. I don't know if flex was affected by my other rank or not. The games were relatively easier (could still make a comeback) than solo/duo, even though I only played in a group the first game.
