Riot seems to have a tenuous grasp on logic

Ever hear the popular phrase used in statistics "correlation does not imply causation". Riot commits this logical fallacy a lot. Just because x happened while y was present does not mean that x caused y. As I have bought more books, I have gotten older. Does this mean that buying books increases one's age? No, it is just a correlation. The same can be said for DQ. Since DQ and champ select were released at the same time, it is hard to differentiate between toxicity levels. Riot never shares their data nor method of retrieving statistics so it could be false anyway.

Even if toxicity levels were only down from champ select (which they clearly disagree with), the implementation of dynamic queue has not hurt the queue enough to make a tangible change to that decrease of toxicity. From Riot's perspective, the people crying about DQ are either in a minority, exaggerating, or both.

They have a control group to compare it to, if you'll recall. Normal Draft got the same treatment, but already had "Dynamic Queue". By comparing the drop in toxicity in Normal Draft to that in Ranked they can make a conclusion on the impact of Dynamic Queue vs the impact of New Champ Select.
