The real problem is the tether range. Karma has the exact same tether range (1000 units) as Leblanc according to lol wiki, however in practice I find this to be completely untrue. Leblancs tether range is far bigger than Karmas. It's almost impossible to escape Leblanc's even when you are way further than where Karma's would fall off immediately. I don't know if its an update tick thing or not but it's the reality
The problem is that Leblanc's tether doesn't update with the server in time. I've had times where she'll be walking slightly away and I flash in the opposite direction, effectively doubling the range of the tether. Still tethered as it pops, snaring me. She jumps back in and makes a play out of it.

What do you care? Not only do most of them do the herp derp E - W trick they saw on reddit, you can just complete Maw and 1v1 her if she so chooses.
I know people always complain about LeBlanc's chains but honestly I never understood that. Her chains never hit me. Blitzcrank is the biggest culprit of this. He can miss you and still grab you. Hell, one game i was standing out of his range and he grabbed my ADC, and the hook went through the adc and grabbed me instead. Karma's tether is also pretty bad, there's absolutely no escape.
