Lmao, Sett is fucking more insane than Aphelios.
You mean people have worked out how to play him. Now they know that his regen passive keeps him safe in lane and maxing W over Q (which is what Riot probably intended) with CDR means you can get a potential true damage 250+ hit by level 9 every 6 seconds which gives a massive shield too which also lasts potential 3 second, so it's back up again in 3 seconds. :P
I think it’s because people figured out itemization, especially Triforce after Tiamat.
I don’t think he is bad design at all I think he could benefit from tweaks to his numbers. Also Triforce is slowly killing Black Cleaver

Took me 20+ games but I finally got to play Sett for the first time.... and JESUS is he ever busted. 11/4/6 with highest damage in game going full tank + titanic... Easy 1v2 top lane while getting ganked. Busted AF.
I mean I don't think I've ever done well my first game playing a champ....
Interesting fact... unlike Mundro/Garen Sett's passive is HEALTH REGEN. So when you just stack Rejuv beads.. you suddenly have stupid high health regen in lane. I did 4 rejuvs/dorans/boots and it felt like I had an activated warmogs at level 4. It's so silly I was taking tower shots on purpose by level 5 to poke with my W between waves.. and I was full hp by the time the next wave came.
Im glad i feel this champ is just too bs. I was fucking garen, and i was avoiding all of his w true dmg. Yet i still couldnt outdamage him. His q and passive just bring him too much unavoidable dmg.
Who would have thought? all those people circle jerking how he cant be OP because he has no dashes and he's melee were wrong?
Almost like this exact thing happened before when morde was reworked "but he has no dashes! he's only melee! just kite him!"
Watch as the same people now excuse his high winrate on first patch by saying "Well, he's easy to learn so it's okay! you just need to learn to play against him"

Sett is basically Vi, but with a better passive, stronger skills, hard CC, his ult does AOE damage instead of single target... what could go wrong? [sg-lulu]
I still don't see him even that strong his strengths is his safe laning and w but after all of that he really lack a strong engage even with his q it not enough to catch up with anyone.
I'm betting alot people still have no idea how to fight him and just standing dead middle infront him everytime they fight him.
I think Sett is for the most part fine, the biggest issue is that his W is an extreme anti-meta ability that outright counters the unga bunga burst damage meta that is the whole game currently.
He doesnt have a good match-up in lane against popular picks (Darius, Morde, Fiora, Aatrox, etc all have great laning vs him) and he gets hardcountered by any adc with mobility. The thing is, the moment he can ditch laning to teamfight and is 2 items in, he outright punishes the fast bursty teamfights that are meta currently by taking all that damage and hard nuking people back with it.
If the game had proper places for poke or disengage teams like before, Sett couldnt be anywhere near as strong as he is currently. He is just a reflection of how damagecrept is the currently and how a single CC (even soft CC) can end up in a team getting aced.
His kit is fine. His numbers need some hefty adjusting though
Meh, he is strong, but I don't think he is busted. Illaoi gets pretty free wins vs him most of the time if you want a counterpick. His w is the only overtuned part tho. Honestly every sett player I've seen ends up with near even but high kills and deaths so like 11/11 bc he is pure garbage vs ranged honestly so his post lane is pretty bad unless he gets the ideal 2k true dmg w proc in a teamfight where people think they can just kill him

Meanwhile in actual high Elo he has the 43rd best win rate and even if you throw out all the low pick rate champs he is still 5th among meta top laners.
Sett is in a really weird spot for a new champ. He isn't that hard to pick up and learn, but at the same time people are still refusing to play correctly against him. Like they seem to be under the impression you focus him first in a teamfight.
Since when? I mean, I've only ever played with and against people who just don't understand how Sett's abilities work, so...
Looking things over, his win rate shot way up with the release of the new patch with no particular reason. Which means one of two things: either he is bugged on the new patch or he was bugged on the old and the bug got fixed.
