Will we ever get real custom games?

Right now custom games are only good for when you wanna play against friends or for youtubers to do fan games. Alot of other games have custom game systems that allow you to change attributes and do other things. At the least i think we should be able to pick the rotating modes in custom games. I dont see why not.

yeah i guess. But i mean stuff like blood moon and nexus siege i feel like we should still be able to do. Also i feel like people could create some crazy stuff if they had what dota does (i dont play it im just comparing) with custom games, where you can actually change attributes and add things.

It's because Riot hates unauthorized fun.

Something that strikes me is now alot of games with custom game options allow you a wide degree of choices. In overwatch you can literally turn off and on certain abilities tune projectile speed etc. And then in dota people have made some crazy ones. Theres one that makes it so that whenever a spell is cast, all spells for everyone before it is cast.

To go beyond the pithy comment: I've noticed over the past few seasons that Riot has been leaning ever harder in the direction of 'there's one way to play League and you can only play it other ways with our say-so'. We've seen it with the loss of team builder and Dominion. And with the addition of the rotating queue games. As you said, many other games have custom modes where you can do all sorts of crazy stuff. Play the game your way.

Just as an example, DotA had -wtf mode as an option at all times for ages, which is more or less what URF is in League. At any point in a custom game someone could fire it up and people would join. For whatever reason, Riot is desperately afraid that allowing people to play for-fun modes will draw too much attention away from Rift.

Also, i think something as simple as just allowing us to make custom games with the rotating modes que would be enough. (with maybe the exception of urf, cause thats special or some shit). Although i thought they got rid of dominion because no one played it and it was wasting servers?
