Gnar is overloaded?

Gnar. Fun concept. Small little creature turns into rampaging monster.

The problems with gnar, is that he is super oppressive. In lane, he is an annoying range abuser like quinn. He is almost guaranteed a free winning lane for no effort. He also has insane chase, which is next to impossible to escape from once he starts autoing you. He is only hurt when he turns into mega gnar, because he becomes weaker, but dont let that fool you, all he has to do now is start chaining any of his abilities because they all have cc now. He also wins almost every one vs one, so he can splitpush like a god.

To recap: Gnar is good at: Laning Splitpushing Tanking Dpsing Chasing CCing Escaping

It is hard to think of a champion who is so good at all jobs. There's a reason he is always meta in pro play.

I do not think nerfing gnar is the way to go. If he isn't god tier, he will be garbage tier. I think the only way to salvage this great concept is to rework him, possibly making his mini form melee so his lane is less oppressive. Until then nerfing him so the overloaded blight in top lane is less oppressive would also be good.

yes, he's good in those. it's not overloaded, it's versetile.

But he can't be the best at a specefic thing unlike champions that were build to have that thing. he can't tank better than mundo. he can't deal higher dps than an adc he can't do more cc than leona.

you get the point, he's good at everything but never the best at something

I don't feel Gnar is anymore overloaded than say, Yasuo or Jayce, both of which have better rune selections and better item builds. Gnar hasn't been meta for a long while, in part due to repeated nerfs and in part because he literally just doesn't have a keystone. :/ When they gave bruiser's conqueror, they made it very range unfriendly to prevent ADCs from playing with it. And in the process they left out, not only Gnar but also Urgot. This isn't even touching on how Gnar can't use Tiamat items and is barred from Steraks, a cornerstone bruiser item.

We probably have a different meaning for the word "overloaded" because his kit gives him an average number of tools.
