Lore-Compliant Sylas Ult Nerf/Adjustment

It seems to me that everyone is just glossing over the huge discrepancy between how Sylas copies magic in his lore and how he copies ultimates in-game. In the lore, he has to be touching someone with his chains to take their magic. Shouldn’t his ultimate work the same way, not this long-range no-contact selection ability?

Either his ultimate is just a single-press “copies the ultimate of the last champion Sylas damaged within two seconds” or applies a mark to the targeted enemy, and Sylas gets their ult upon damaging them. The ability would only go on full cooldown if he successfully copies the ult.

Honestly, I see no reason for the developers to not have at least considered this. It’s even possible the ability started out as something I suggested here, only changing because the devs felt Sylas needed to have just as much freedom to copy a carry’s ult as a frontliner’s. However, Sylas is by no means lacking in ways to reach and damage an opponent while somewhat mitigating incoming damage. Plus, he more often WANTS the frontliner’s ult anyway.

His ult does touch them with a chain, it goes and reaches them. Hence, why Yasuo can windwall it.

Most stupid thing is that he can copy an ult that isn't even up on the opponent yet... Makes sense.
