Has anyone else had trouble connecting to the game after champ select?

I seem to be having a major issue staying connected to the client/server after champ select and in the loading screen - after what seems like infinity my comp informs me that I'm not connected and I get a "leaver" on my match history. I don't expect Riot to put the effort in to recognize I'm not intentionally afking (gotta keep those expectations low), but if anyone has experienced this kind of problem than lmk. I've been disconnected from about half the games I've played over the past couple days and it's really starting to get annoying. Thanks!
