See title. It's a bluish white wave regardless of whether an ally hits the plant or an enemy does, which can make it difficult to know at a glance which team initiated it.

Think about when you're in a lane, and you see the end of the wave reach you. In order to deduce whether it was an ally wave or enemy wave you first have to figure out where the wave came from (was it from blue side plant or red side plant?), then look at your minimap at that exact spot to see if an ally is on the map there. If an ally is not near that point on the map, then it was probably an enemy, and you can infer that they've either moved into the river by now or gone to take a buff. The thing is, that's a lot you have to do just to come to the same conclusion you could have come to instantly if the wave was simply color-coded.

That vision may or may not uncover anything useful. If there aren't any enemies there to be revealed, you won't see them, and it'll look the same as if the enemy fired it. And if it's just uncovering wards, that's not something you can tell at a glance. I want to be able to tell which team fired it without moving my camera to check the map, and without having to do any intensive minimap searching while I'm busy last hitting and keeping track of the 3 other people in my lane.
LostFr0st3 votesIt doesn't matter what it uncovers, a giant triangle lights up on the minimap. It's not intensive, it's a quick glance which you should be doing regardless every few seconds. [zombie-brand-mindblown]
SchmidttyGames3 votesWell, to be fair, if your teammate proc's it, you'll get the vision uncovered by their proc. Your whole team gets it. So if you see nothing but the proc, you know for sure that it was an enemy.
I'm a Support Main. As such, mastery of viewing the minimap is part of my job, so I don't really have this issue. It's always been clear to me which team procs a plant.
